My story

I have two Dachshunds - Milo & Oscar.

Coming out of Covid I found myself in a position where Milo become reactive towards people & other dogs and I didn't know how I could help him. We got Milo as a pup just before Covid/lockdown, which resulted in a reduction of socialising in the normal way of life in his puppy development stages.

If you're reading this, you can likely relate to the countless hours I spent Googling and seeking advice from fellow dog owners on Facebook, desperately trying various approaches to find a solution and help my beloved dog.

The challenge I faced was the overwhelming amount of conflicting information available, so in the end, it became my mission to understand my dog's behaviour and embark on our journey to give him the confidence & reassurance he needed.

As we went through our journey I became passionate to help other dog owners out there develop their relationships with their dogs and overcome challenges, which led me to become a Certified Dog Trainer.

My goal is to empower and support fellow dog owners in fostering strong relationships with their dogs.

My approach to training

I approach dog training with a non-judgmental perspective, understanding that each dog owner has a different lifestyle and each dog is different. I firmly believe in making training fun and enjoyable for both owner and dog.

My training methodology is exclusively based on positive reinforcement, a scientifically-backed approach that centres on encouraging desired behaviours through rewards and positive experiences.

Positive reinforcement involves rewarding dogs for exhibiting the behaviours we want to reinforce. This can include treats, praise, play, or any other positive stimuli that motivates the dog. The key is to create an environment where the dog associates good behaviour with positive outcomes.
